We are scheduling oneg hosts for the coming year. If you have never hosted an oneg and would like to, we will help you get started with planning your first one. Hosting an oneg with a friend is a nice way to get started also. If you would like to host an oneg or have questions, please call the Temple office, 785-272-6040.

Worship Service Leaders’ Workshop to be Offered
Tuesday, August 24 and 31 7:00-8:30pm
Have you ever thought of helping lead a service at Temple? Or have you led a service before and want to brush up on how to do so? This two day workshop is for any Jewish member of our congregation who is interested in learning how to be a service leader (or co-leader) of a Shabbat service. Some knowledge of Hebrew and the service is necessary. Rabbi Stiel with help from Warren Sickel and Rhoda Wisman will cover elements such as the order of the service, writing a d’var Torah, working with the music leader and pointers for leading. We look forward to increasing the number of people who can fill in when Rabbi Stiel is not available to lead. Bring your ruach (spirit) and join us!
Please RSVP by Wednesday, August 18 so we know how many to expect.
